Jul 02, 2019  The sims 4 on PC has alot more to offer. You can download custom content and mods but even if that isnt your thing, it still is much easier to play than console. Mar 31, 2008 Macs have, for some reason, have never been very good to gamers - games on the Mac have largely been an afterthought while Microsoft is balls-deep in its Xbox experiment. Sims 3 runs better in Windows than it ever did in macOS, and some of us (myself included) have set up our Macs this way just to play the game properly. The way it works is that you restart your computer and choose to boot into Windows, and then everything works like it would on a PC.

Jan 16, 2016 Apple's Mac computers may be good at a lot of things, but they aren't the best machines for gaming. Here are some big reasons why they suck for games. Jul 20, 2015  It Depends on which Sims game you are referring to. The original The Sims had a Mac version, but that game is rather old. I suppose you are thinking of one of the newer ones, so maybe The Sims 2? There is very nice version of the Sims 2 and the. I figure that Mac and PC have different platforms, but is there any way to have the game installed on my Mac? How can I install Sims 3 via Steam on a Mac? Ask Question Asked 6 years, 5 months ago. Active 8 months ago. How can I get the Sims DLC from Steam to. After downloading The Sims 3 game, it's stuck on the finalizing process after about 2+ hours of waiting. It still says 0% remaining and also 0hs, 0m, and 0s remaining. I have such a headache, I just want to play the game. Please help:(.

Apple has always lagged behind the PC in providing good gaming experiences due to the company's lack of support and emphasis for games. While many earlier titles like SimCity and Oregon Trail ran on Apple's Macintosh (Mac) computers, their line of computers was rarely what any gamer would want to pick up to play games.

In contrast, Microsoft has always supported games, with innovative tech like DirectX and encouraging game developers to release titles on Windows.

  • I know I've experienced a Sim here and there that will seem to 'seize' or 'freeze' trying to do an action but it has been rare. I have been successful each time cancelling the action normally, giving them the command to move to another position and then going forward with regular commands without any further issues. Have you tried commanding your Sim(s) affected to move to another spot first? Hope this helps.
  • I think I saw some threads like this in Technical Discussions, but I can't remember what the solution was.
  • My sims keep getting stuck! Like they will go to do an action, but won't do it, then when you cancel the action it won't cancel. I've tried doing the resetsim command and it resets the sims actions but the sim is just still stuck in one place. I'm not able to progress any further because my sims keep getting stuck and I don't know why. It's really devastating because I've spent so much time and effort on this sims family. Anyone have any ideas?

Try taking the Sim off the lot to travel to try to break the loop.

  • I had it happen once when writing a song. I had to reset the sim using the resetsim code. That helped me.

The problem is they get stuck, and cannot perform any actions despite me resetting them. They are just stuck in one place so I can't even get them off the lot.
  • And more than one sim is getting stuck in one place despite using resetsim. And then when I try and shut the game down it freezes.

Yes I tried this but the problem is the sim is stuck in one place and cannot perform ANY actions at all so they can't even move, even if I have reset the sim.
  • I've had all my doors stuck at one time , try removing a piece of the wall to see if they can get out that way.

They should still be able to travel off the lot, since that doesn't require them to perform any actions. Press 'M,' then choose where to send them.

No they are stuck in one place, on the spot. Other sims are able to get out of the house. That's not the issue I am having.

I'll try it but more than one sim is getting stuck at any one time. I'm having 2 or 3 sims stuck at once. Even when I go back to the previous save it keeps on happening so I don't want to be constantly having to sort out these stuck sims.

Can be a lot of reasons.
Do you have mods or cc? Remove them.
If not, try loading an older save. Your save file or your lot might be corrupted.
Also, try switching to another household and invite your stuck Sims over.

No I don't have any mods or cc. I have re run my game and so far *fingers crossed* it hasn't stuck at the point it usually sticks.
  • Okay so my sim got stuck. So I pressed m to send my sim to another lot and now it's stuck on the loading screen. There must be something wrong with my game. How can I revert back to earlier saves because I don't want to lose this family?
  • It may not work, but what if you repair the game in origin. If something is broken, it might fix it. I haven't had this happen to me. So I am kind of out of ideas

    How do you do that?
  • Right click on the sims 4 icon in origin and then click repair game.
  • Just go relaunch the game and it should be fine. Sometimes I have this kind of bug also where same actions keep appearing on action tab and can't be remove.

I've relaunched the game 100's of times and it keeps happening, just with different sims each time.
  • hmm, are you running Sims 4 in smooth performance?

What do you mean? I've been playing the game for weeks without any problems until a few days ago.
  • Oh is that so, well sometimes bugs occurs when you are running the game with poor performance(only my observation), and well same goes for me, it occurs when I've been playing it for so long. But in my case, I just relaunch it.

  • Ughhhh I tried repairing game via origin. Same thing has still happened. I don't know what to do
