For those fans of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Silicon Valley, you got two of your favorite stars making a cameo in the highly anticipated Season 8 premiere of Game of Thrones. However, if you blinked, you missed both cameos. “The Gang goes to Westeros.”

Game of Thrones has featured some celebrity cameos in the history of the massively popular HBO series. Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson perfectly portrays King’s Landing enforcer to the King Ser Ilyn Payne, New York Mets pitcher Noah “Thor” Syndergaard was a Lannister general, Ed Sheeran made a brief cameo, YouTube star Steve Love, members of the rock group Mastodon appeared as wights, Snow Patrol’s guitarist Gary Lightbody was one of House Bolton’s foot soldiers, members of the indie band Of Monsters and Men have made appearances in three episodes, Icelandic band Sigur Rós performed on the show and Ian McShane from Deadwood gave an impassioned speech on Game of Thrones. Even Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss made cameos of sorts with their mugs in the Hall of Faces.

In Episode 1 of Season 8, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney and Silicon Valley‘s Martin Starr both made Game of Thrones very brief cameos. And don’t expect to see them again (unless they are reanimated by the Night King) because they were both killed in cold blood. In mere seconds of appearing on the hit show, they learn the valuable lesson that valar morghulis. Lucky for Theon’s soldiers they were armed with bows and arrows, making it impossible for Mac to unleash a barrage of his deadly roundhouse kicks.

Spoilers. Their cameo happens during the scene where Theon Greyjoy rescues his sister Yara from their uncle Euron’s ship. Unfortunately for Mac from It’s Always Sunny and Bertram Gilfoyle from Silicon Valley they were Euron’s soldiers who were guarding Yara.

It’s Always Sunny and Game of Thrones have had a connection over the years, with showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss writing the IASIP Season 9 episode titled “Flowers for Charlie” and they made cameos as lifeguards in Season 12’s “The Gang Goes to a Water Park.” So it was only fair that McElhenney got to do his cameo.
