Crystal Quest is an action computer game for the Apple Macintosh and Apple IIgs. Ah yes, Scarab of Ra and Crystal Quest, those two sucked up many, many happy hours of my gaming time. I remember Scarab of Ra would kick my ass all the time though. And Crystal Quest had great sound effects (like the Aaaaaaah when you. Crystal Crazy is the sequel to Crystal Quest, a timeless addictive arcade game that you had to have on your Mac near 1990. Crystal Crazy incorporates even more madness in the gameplay, such as new challenges (not only collect crystals and go to the next level) like pick up as many floating bonus points and get out while a vice is slowly.

Crystal Quest Classic is a revival of the 1987 award winning video game. The original was played on almost every Macintosh computer in existence before being ported to the Apple IIgs, Amiga and the Game Boy - followed many years later by a reawakening on the Xbox360. What is Crystal Crazy?

Aug 08, 2010  Does Snow Leopard come with any games, like Windows does with solitaire, mahjong and other games? I don't really play any computer games, but for a boring train ride without internet, they could be nice to have. Windows xp preinstalled games. Jul 05, 2017  More new games support Mac OS X than ever, and you can play any Windows game on your Mac. There are many ways you can play those Windows PC games on your Mac. After all, Macs have been standard Intel PCs that come with a different operating system preinstalled since 2006. Aug 01, 2010  This isn't really a part of the Mac OS, it's a part of emacs which is part of the UNIX system. Most Mac users don't know this is included with their computer. There are many more games.

Crystal Crazy is the sequel to Crystal Quest, a timeless addictive arcade game that you had to have on your Mac near 1990. Crystal Crazy incorporates even more madness in the gameplay, such as new challenges (not only collect crystals and go to the next level) like pick up as many floating bonus points and get out while a vice is slowly squishing the whole screen, or erase all floating drawings by navigating your ship on top of them, or even play pool in space by collecting pool balls in their proper order, or smashing fragile glass objects in the space walls.. haha! I love this..

Crystal Crazy also adds bigger colorful animations and more funny sound effects. Casady & Greene did a very good job making this sequel to Crystal Quest, it's fun and adds more to an already excellent game from the classic Mac era.

Description

A mouse-driven game in which the player controls a small, circular spaceship which must travel around the screen collecting crystals. This task is made more difficult by the aliens which constantly swarm out from the portals on both sides of the screen. These can be shot down by the ship's gun (which has unlimited ammo) or eliminated by activating one of the player's limited supply of 'smart bombs', which will clear the screen of all current enemies.
The physics of the game were quite unusual for the time; the ship does not simply follow the mouse's movement like a mouse cursor. Rather, it retains its inertia, and must be carefully guided around so it does not crash into anything. Bullets, when fired, travel in the direction of the ship's movement, requiring the player to actually travel toward enemies in order to shoot them down.
This was the first color game for the Macintosh, although it was business-as-usual for the IIgs.
